We offer trusted resources and referrals to assist you in accessing the support you need. Our focus is on restoring balance to your pelvis, creating optimal space for your baby's growth. Through chiropractic adjustments, we remove interference, allowing your nervous system to function optimally and reducing the discomfort often associated with pregnancy and labor.
Dr Cassy is a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner. Spinning Babies® is a physiological approach to preparing for and caring for birth. She is certified by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association in Webster's Technique. The Webster technique is defined by the ICPA as: "a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of subluxation and/or SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neurobiomechanical function in the sacral/pelvic region is improved."
Here are a few other reasons you might want to consider seeking out a Webster-certified chiropractor when you’re pregnant.
Fighting the Effects of Sacral Subluxation
One of the most common issues during pregnancy is sacral subluxation. Sounds scary, right? It’s actually a fancy way of saying that the sacrum (a bone at the base of your spine) is slightly out of place. This can mess with your body’s overall function and cause discomfort. The Webster Technique aims to lessen these effects with a specific chiropractic adjustment. Chiropractic care during pregnancy is a great way to ensure that your spine stays in an optimal position
Making Room for Your Baby
Sometimes babies find themselves in a breech position before birth. That means they’re feet-first instead of head-first. You might have heard of the external cephalic version, a medical procedure where doctors try to manually turn the baby. However, the great news is that the Webster Technique can help create more room in your pelvis, allowing the breech baby to turn their head down naturally.
Boosting Uterine Function
A big part of what makes this technique so great is that it helps improve uterine function. That means it can help your uterus do its job even better, providing a more comfortable space for your baby to grow.
Soft Tissue Love
Not to forget, the Webster Technique involves some serious love for the soft tissues in your body. By releasing tension in muscles and ligaments, especially in the pelvic region, it helps make your pregnancy as smooth and comfortable as possible.
